Section 101.62(3) of the Florida Statutes limits the release of absentee ballot request data to "...the voter requesting the ballot, a canvassing board, an election official, a political party or official thereof, a candidate who has filed qualification papers and is opposed in an upcoming election, and registered political committees or registered committees of continuous existence, for political purposes only."
In addition, anyone requesting mail ballot information must have a current signature on file with our office affirming that they are authorized by the above statue to receive mail ballot information.
The Supervisor of Elections provides up to $25 of voter registration and mail ballot requests free of charge every month. Any remaining balance must be paid prior to the release of information. Any outstanding balance must be paid prior to placing a new order. Candidates and political committees must make payment from their campaign or committee account. Information requested by incumbent office holders for the purpose of official business may be paid from their office account.
