Four Brevard County voters have contacted Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott after receiving letters on fraudulent letterhead questioning their citizenship and eligibility to vote.  The fictitious letters, postmarked in Seattle, Washington, threaten to remove the voters from the roles in addition to criminal charges and imprisonment.  The letter appears on letterhead intended to mimic official Elections Office correspondence.

The letter and accompanying documentation have been referred to the Florida Division of Elections General Counsel, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the F.B.I.  These letters do not have a signature and state the voter must respond within 15 days.  Anyone receiving such a letter, or in receipt of any election information they find questionable, is encouraged to immediately contact Supervisor Scott at (321) 633‐2124.
