Lori Scott, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections, announces the 7th Annual “Vote to End Childhood Hunger” Bake Sale and Raffle is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Titusville, Melbourne, Viera and Palm Bay Supervisor of Elections offices.

Supervisor Scott believes that no child should go without food. This conviction led the Supervisor to organize the first Vote to End Childhood Hunger Bake Sale in 2009. The past six events have collectively raised more than $13,000. Monies raised will benefit Project Hunger, a Brevard nonprofit that provides assistance to undernourished children in the county.

“I am proud to support the great work of Project Hunger to make sure no child in Brevard goes hungry,” said Supervisor Scott. “The assistance provided by Project Hunger is especially important during the summer months when school is out and breakfast and lunch school programs are no longer available to these children.”

Supervisor Scott invites local businesses to participate by contributing: gift certificates, raffle basket items, baked goods, cash donations, paper products or baking supplies. Organizations interested in contributing items to the Bake Sale and Raffle should contact Jessica Santamaria, Outreach Coordinator, at (321) 690-6850 or by email: JSantamaria@VoteBrevard.com.
