Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott recognized the winners of the 3rd Annual Launch the Vote Student Art Contest with an awards reception in her office followed by a Resolution presentation at the November 15th County Commission Meeting. The Resolution was sponsored and presented by Commissioner Curt Smith, who was one of the judges for this year’s event.

This year, 212 students from 11 elementary schools in Brevard County submitted their artwork for the contest. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries were selected in addition to three Honorable Mentions. The New “Chick-fil-A Award” was also chosen by Chick-fil-A representatives.

Supervisor Scott is pleased to announce the following winners: 1st Place - Luidrudge Renous (Westside Elementary), 2nd Place – Madison Hulen-Turner (Sculptor Charter), and 3rd Place – Nathan Jost (Westside Elementary); Honorable Mentions: Kya Field (Ralph Williams Elementary), Jadyn Milo (Westside Elementary) and Faith Chase (Sculptor Charter). Faith Chase was selected as the winner of the Chick-fil-A Award.

Winners were presented with medals, ribbons and a certificate from Supervisor Scott and various prizes from Chick-fil-A. Supervisor Scott has partnered with Chick-fil-A since starting the Art Contest. “Having a great community partner like Chick-fil-A certainly encourages participation from our young artists,” said Supervisor Scott.

Artwork from all six students will be displayed in the Supervisor of Elections Viera Office for the next year. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place artwork and the Chick-fil-A Award winner will be displayed in Chick-fil-A establishments throughout Brevard County during the month of November.
