Brevard County Adopt-A-Precinct Program
Fundraiser Opportunity |
Welcome to Adopt-A-Precinct and thank you for your interest in partnering with the Supervisor of Elections office. Our inaugural program began in 2012 with three organizations raising a total of $22,000 for Brevard charities/programs. To date, a total of $112,726 has been distributed to 13 organizations. The Adopt-A-Precinct program is designed to increase community participation in the voting process while providing charitable organizations with an exciting fundraising opportunity by staffing one of Brevard’s 117 polling locations.
Finding
the funds to support projects and charities has become increasingly difficult. An Adopt-A-Precinct, staffed with 10 poll workers can earn as much as $1,960 in a single election for their organization/charity.
For
more information, please view the Adopt-A-Precinct brochure.
Since 2014, Hans Christian Andersen PTO has adopted precincts in six Elections. To date, they have earned $10,080 partnering with our Adopt-A-Precinct program. Funds have been used to purchase security cameras, a new LED school sign, support teachers with classroom improvements and for Teacher Appreciation Week.
