2016 Primary Sample Ballots

Sample Ballots are now available online for the August 30, 2016 Primary Election

To view your sample ballot, please use our Voter Lookup Tool, which can also be used to verify your registration status and party affiliation, request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, and locate your polling place.  It is important to remember that Florida is a "Closed Primary State".  During a Primary Election, voters receive a ballot listing only the candidates associated with their political party affiliation.

All voters have until 29 days before the 2016 Primary Election (August 1st), also known as book closing, to register to vote or change their party affiliation should they wish to do so prior to the August 30th Election.

To see a list of all Precinct Sample Ballots, by party and precinct, click here: All Precinct/Party Sample Ballots.

Court-ordered Florida State Senate redistricting has been completed

On May 3rd, the Brevard County Commission approved the new precinct boundaries submitted by my office in response to Florida’s court-mandated redistricting of the Florida State Senate boundaries and annexations from numerous municipalities.

To view your registration status, including your current precinct and polling place assignment, CLICK here.

New “Official Voter Information Cards” will be mailed to all Brevard voters in mid-June.  Additionally, “Polling Place Change Notices” were mailed to any voter whose polling location was moved or altered.  Here is a sample of a Polling Place Change Notice.

PLEASE NOTE: The State Senate district numbers appearing on these new Voter Information Cards reflect the newly created districts for Brevard County.  The new State Senate district numbers are 14 and 17 and will appear on the upcoming 2016 Primary and General Election ballots.

Important Notice to Voters

I have been receiving calls from Brevard voters/residents regarding a mailing they've received from the Voter Participation Center (VPC), a Washington D.C. based organization.

Many of these mailers contain incorrect information. Some may state that you are not a registered voter when, in fact, you are. Mailers are also being sent to ineligible and deceased voters.

These mailings are not generated from the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections office nor did the Voter Participation Center acquire their contact information from the Brevard County voter rolls.

I encourage all voters to check their registration status through the VoteBrevard.com website at http://www.votebrevard.com/Voter-Information/Check-Your-Registration-Status.

Should you have questions or want more information regarding this mailing, please contact the Voter Participation Center at (877) 255-6750.

“I can’t begin to tell you what your rapid response and thoughtful call meant to my Dad and our family. He is wearing his hospital gown with the ‘I voted’ sticker, it brought him so much joy! In 1955, he and my mother immigrated to the US, became citizens, had children and lived the American Dream. He places amazing value on his right to vote, and I appreciate your accommodating him, especially at this difficult time. You really made him happy.

Your sincere and excellent customer service renews my confidence in government, and I am sure I will share this story often.

I hope you have a positive primary day!

Thanks again,
Gwendolyn”
