Absentee Ballot Mailing Notice

You may have received a candidate mailer this weekend saying - "VOTER ALERT! Your Absentee Ballot Should Have Arrived..."

Please note: Brevard's Mail (Absentee) Ballots will be mailed to Civilian and in-county Military voters on Tuesday, October 7th. You can track the status of your Mail (Absentee) Ballot through the election online here, including when it is mailed to you and delivered back to our office.

Over 2,700 Mail Ballots Sent for 2014 General Election

    Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott mailed 1,924 Mail (Absentee) Ballots to military and overseas voters today for the General Election to be held on November 4, 2014.

    Military and civilian voters, who are currently overseas, also have the option to receive their Mail Ballot via e-mail or fax. Supervisor Scott emailed an additional 804 Mail Ballots today to those military and civilian voters.

    To date, an additional 88,555 voters have requested a Mail Ballot for the upcoming General Election. Mail Ballots for stateside voters will be mailed on October 7, 2014. “Our Mail Ballot requests continue to grow each day in preparation for the General Election,” said Supervisor Scott. “I encourage voters to track the status of their Mail Ballot through the election process on my website.”

    Voters can request a Mail Ballot online or by phone at (321)633-2127. Voters wishing to receive their Ballot by mail, must place their request by 5:00 p.m. on October 29, 2014. Voters may return their Mail Ballot via U.S. Mail or in person at any Elections Office location. Voted Mail Ballots for the 2014 General Election must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (November 4, 2014).

2014 General Election Bookclosing Information

Bookclosing for the 2014 General Election is 5 p.m. on Monday, October 6th. In order to be eligible to vote in the General Election on November 4th, you must be registered with the Supervisor of Elections by October 6th.

New Polling Places for the 2014 General Election

The polling places for the 2014 General Election have now been finalized. There are four location changes. Voters in each of these precincts will be mailed a postcard notice and a new voter information card informing them of the change.

In addition, the names of two existing polling places have changed. Their locations did NOT change:

  • Precinct 110 changed from South Lake Elementary School to South Lake Educational Center.
  • Precincts 502/529 changed from Melbourne Area Association of Realtors to Space Coast Association of Realtors.

Student Art Contest

Attention Brevard County 4th and 5th grade students!

Thank you to Brevard’s 4th and 5th grade students who submitted over 400 entries for the 2014 Launch the Vote Student Art Contest! The deadline to submit an entry for the 2014 Launch the Vote Student Art Contest was Friday, September 12th.

The 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winning entries will be selected by a panel of community leaders Thursday, September 18th. The winning entries will be displayed at each of Brevard’s Chick-fil-A locations during the month of October in preparation for the November 4th General Election. In addition, the winners will receive a great prize package courtesy of Chick-fil-A!
